Chinese citizens and foreigners with valid documents.

2. Type of Reader pass :

2.1 Reader Card of Shanghai Central Library : ordinary lending.

2.2 Children 's Reader Card of Shanghai Central Library : ordinary lending.

3. How to apply:

3.1 The Requirement Documents : Readers under the age of 16 may hold the permanent-residence booklet of their ID number. Chinese citizens over the age of 18 hold their identity cards. Foreigners hold their passport.

3.2 Certificate mode: Shanghai central library reader card (children reader card) free of labor costs, registration fees. Deposit 100 yuan/Card (cash payment).

3.3 Application for Reader card : Please fill in 《Application Form for Children’s Card of Shanghai Central Library》 for the Children Reader Card.

3.4 Receiving : receiving on the spot.

4. Loss of Reader Card, Card Supplement :

4.1 If the reader’s Card is lost, the reader should go to the certificate office in time to carry out the procedures of reporting loss and supplement cards with valid documents such as identity cards, so as to avoid causing greater losses.

4.2 Readers should bear the loss caused by other people’s fraudulent use of the reader’s card before handling the reporting loss procedure.

5. If you want to return the card, you can refund the deposit:

5.1 Refund documents : Readers under the age of 16 may hold a permanent-residence booklet with identity card number ; Chinese citizens over the age of 18 may carry their identity card ; foreigners may hold their passport, deposit voucher and reader’s card.

5.2 Substitute returnees need to carry the above documents and show their identity card.
